A young Congolese woman living in Belgium during World War II helped several American soldiers during the Battle of the Bulge.

A lady who braved severe winter conditions, being continually shot at while she moved from place to place, and faced many other wartime dangers all while trying to protect and heal the wounded.

The subsequent German selling of the city of Bastogne eventually claimed her hospital along with one of her good friends who was also working as a nurse in the same building.

A person that risks their life for people that they do not even know is an excellent role model for all of us to teach to others and to live by; there is no greater human mind act than this.
