A fleet commander took his troops into a city which in one day's time totally defaced the city by burning houses and flattering walls which made the city look like a ghost town.
A leader captures a city and takes the city's leader family hostage, and later uses the family members as bargaining chips in negotiating a peace treaty which eventually works.
